THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Why Clear Does Not Mean Invisible

Expect the design and material to remain physical objects even when the base is transparent.

What to know

Clear material can reduce the appearance of a solid background, but it does not make a sticker cease to exist visually. Edges, surface reflections and the print itself still affect the result. Use an actual material sample when the degree of visibility matters to the project.

Check your plan

  • Consider the edge as part of the appearance.
  • Compare different lighting directions.
  • Confirm the result with a physical sample when necessary.

A practical example

A clear label on glass may look subtle from one angle and more noticeable from another. A screen preview cannot establish how invisible the edge will be in every setting.
