THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Checking a Sticker Border at Small Sizes

Compare the border with the important artwork details so it frames the design without overwhelming it.

Updated

An orange paint splash spreads into rounded drips, bordered by blue and lime-green splashes and a dark outline.

What to know

A border occupies a larger share of a small sticker than a large one. It can help separate the art from the background, but it also reduces the room available inside the finished dimensions. Inspect the relationship between the border, lettering and fine lines.

Check your plan

  • Compare the border at the actual output size.
  • Keep important details inside the visible artwork area.
  • Review changes to the outline after background removal.

A practical example

A broad border around a tiny wordmark can dominate the design. A slightly larger footprint may preserve the intended balance better than shrinking the lettering further.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
