THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Checking Text Before Flattening a Design

Proofread the wording and spacing while the text is still editable, then verify the exported image.

Updated

A shaggy black cartoon bird wears a gray bathrobe and slippers, holding a steaming white mug beneath heavy eyelids and an orange beak.

What to know

Once text is flattened into an image, correcting a typo requires editing the source and exporting again. Review spelling, punctuation and line breaks before upload. Read the final image too, because font substitutions or export settings can change what appears in the artwork.

Check your plan

  • Read the wording aloud once.
  • Check numbers, punctuation and intentional capitalization.
  • Compare the export with the editable source.

A practical example

A phone number or date can look visually balanced while containing a wrong digit. Review the content separately from the attractiveness of the lettering.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
