THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Checking Thin Lines in a Sticker Illustration

Review fine strokes at the finished dimensions before relying on them to carry important detail.

Updated

A red turbocharger with a black turbine is paired with white BUILT TO BOOST lettering, red speed lines on the left and a pointed badge base.

What to know

Thin lines can become visually weak when an illustration is reduced. The right response depends on the drawing: simplify, strengthen selected strokes or choose a larger footprint. Keep an editable source so changes are deliberate rather than repeatedly sharpening a flattened export.

Check your plan

  • Identify the thinnest important line.
  • Compare it with nearby gaps and textures.
  • Ask for print review when a detail is critical.

A practical example

Fine whiskers may be optional decoration, while the thin outline separating two facial features may be essential. Treat those two kinds of line differently.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
