THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Horizontal or Vertical Car Sticker Layouts

Choose orientation from the available space and the direction of the artwork, not just the title of the design.

Updated

A low black-and-white mountain ridge sits beneath a dark circular sun, with pine trees at the edges and a narrow river-like opening in front.

What to know

Some graphics have an obvious upright position; others can rotate without losing meaning. Text, faces and directional symbols need extra attention. Make two layout sketches and compare where the design leads the eye before deciding to rotate or resize it.

Check your plan

  • Identify any text that must remain upright.
  • Compare the long axis with the panel shape.
  • Check that rotation does not change the intended meaning.

A practical example

A tall tree can emphasize a vertical space, while a mountain panorama suits a wider area. Rotation is not a substitute for choosing the right composition.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
