THE STICKERROAR GUIDE
Checking Tiny Detached Pieces in a Sticker Outline
Find tiny detached shapes in a sticker outline and decide what should stay connected. Review stars, dots and accents at finished size before production.

What to know
A drawing can include detached stars, splashes or tiny decorative dots. The preview may show every visible piece, but a final cutline needs a practical plan for the complete design. Decide which pieces matter and discuss any complicated separations before production.
Check your plan
- Find the smallest isolated elements.
- Check their distance from the main subject.
- Consider a connected background shape in your own artwork.
A practical example
A constellation of tiny stars around a character may work better inside one surrounding shape than as many separate small pieces. The preview alone does not settle the production method.
Count the separate islands
Trace around the subject and list every shape that does not touch it. Include punctuation dots, small stars, splashes and narrow decorative strokes. Then compare their physical size with the main artwork in a full-size paper print. An accent that looks substantial when zoomed in may be nearly invisible in the intended sticker.
Suppose a cat has three floating stars above its head. You might want one sticker with a continuous surrounding border, several separately handled pieces, or the cat alone. Those are different production intentions, even when they begin with the same image.
Decide which connection belongs in the design
For artwork you can edit, compare removing insignificant accents with moving them closer or placing them inside a deliberate background shape. Do not add arbitrary thin bridges just to make every island touch; they can alter the illustration and still require a production review.
Describe whether the result should be one physical sticker or multiple pieces. The editor's visible contour is a review aid, not a guarantee that every tiny island will be manufactured separately. Confirm the proposed cut structure, especially when a floating dot is essential to the wording or identity of the mark.
Put the check into practice
Compare the artwork and outline in the custom editor. Include unresolved cut or transparency questions with your custom sticker request. Orders are requests without online payment; final production details require confirmation.
The cover is a schematic planning illustration for this topic, not a physical print sample or a measurement of your artwork.
