THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Cropping a Photo for a Sticker Composition

Choose the meaningful subject before turning a large photograph into a small sticker.

What to know

A full photograph often includes background details that become distracting at sticker size. Make a deliberate crop around the subject while leaving enough room for the intended shape. Keep the uncropped original so you can revise the composition without repeatedly degrading an already reduced file.

Check your plan

  • Identify the face or object that must remain clear.
  • Check the crop at the intended sticker proportions.
  • Keep important features away from the outer edge.

A practical example

For a pet portrait, the eyes and ears may matter more than the room behind the animal. Crop for recognition rather than keeping every part of the photograph.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
