Glossy or matte changes the surface appearance

Glossy suggests a shinier surface with more noticeable reflections; matte suggests a more subdued reflection. Start by comparing the same artwork on the same base material at the same size. Otherwise, a different design or background can be mistaken for a finish difference.

StickerRoar currently offers Glossy and Matte with White PVC. Clear and Holographic use Glossy in the online options. Check the finish again after switching materials because the selection can reset to an available combination.

Compare glare, color and small lettering

Consider a dark badge with pale lettering. A bright reflection can cross the lettering as the light or viewing angle changes. A matte appearance can reduce the prominence of that mirror-like highlight, but the graphic still needs sufficient contrast and readable letters. Changing the finish does not enlarge tiny text or repair a blurry file.

The same ink colors can look different under different lighting and surface reflection. Avoid assuming glossy always means more accurate color or matte always means dull color. If matching a color or an existing sticker matters, request a physical comparison with the actual print construction under the same light.

Open a product or upload your artwork, select White PVC and keep the size and scene unchanged. Switch between Glossy and Matte. The Glossy simulation adds a fixed highlight; Matte omits that highlight. These are appearance illustrations, not photographs of two production samples or results of a material test.

Compare the design in the artwork view and a placement scene. Then inspect lettering at the intended physical size using the measurement guide. A real sticker will be seen at changing angles, so one simulated reflection cannot predict every viewing condition.

Finish names do not establish scratch resistance, UV resistance, outdoor lifespan or adhesive suitability. Those depend on the actual material and construction and require confirmation. Compare White PVC and Clear for the separate base-material decision.
