THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Sizing an Animal Face Sticker

Protect the eyes, ears and expression when reducing an animal portrait to a smaller sticker.

Updated

A brown-and-black tabby cat looks forward with golden eyes, upright ears and white whiskers.

What to know

The face is usually the reason to choose an animal portrait. At smaller sizes, thin whiskers and tiny highlights may become less noticeable before the outer silhouette changes much. Compare the expression at the intended size rather than inspecting only a large zoomed image.

Check your plan

  • Check that both eyes remain distinct.
  • Inspect narrow gaps around ears and muzzle.
  • Choose a simpler portrait if the expression becomes unclear.

A practical example

A bold cat silhouette may communicate better at a small size than a detailed fur portrait. Select the design for the finished view, not the enlarged preview.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
