THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Why Mirroring Changes More Than Placement

Check text, symbols and recognizable features before creating a mirrored companion to a sticker design.

Updated

A wooden paintbrush tilts upward to the right and releases a bright ribbon of rainbow paint, with rounded droplets around the top edge.

What to know

Mirroring reverses every part of an image. That may help a pair of animals face each other, but it can also reverse a slogan or an asymmetrical emblem. Prepare the intended left and right versions explicitly rather than expecting size or placement controls to create them.

Check your plan

  • Identify elements that must not reverse.
  • Prepare separate finished files when needed.
  • Label each file with its intended side.

A practical example

A bird silhouette may mirror cleanly, while the words beneath it do not. Rebuild the text in the second file instead of flipping the complete design.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
