THE STICKERROAR GUIDE

Finding a White Halo Around Sticker Artwork

Inspect the outer edge on a dark background to find unwanted light pixels before ordering.

Updated

A golden beer mug with a dark green handle sits between two upright golden grain stalks, topped by a rounded cap of cream foam.

What to know

A cutout can appear clean on white while retaining pale pixels around its edge. Those pixels may come from a previous background or a soft export. View the image against a contrasting color and decide whether the edge is intentional artwork, a border or an unwanted halo.

Check your plan

  • Zoom into several outer curves.
  • Check the same edge at the intended print size.
  • Correct the source instead of hiding the issue with more effects.

A practical example

A thin white rim around dark fur might be a deliberate outline. A patchy rim that changes thickness is more likely to need editing.

The cover is an artwork example from the catalog. Use the measurements and file checks above to evaluate your own project, rather than treating the image as a scale reference.
