Understanding Original Image and Auto Outline Modes
Choose the artwork source intentionally because the two modes can preserve different parts of the file.

What to know
Original image keeps the uploaded composition, while automatic outline uses a processed version where available. Switching modes can change the visible footprint and effective detail. Review the selected mode after making changes so the cart contains the source you actually intended.
Check your plan
- Compare both modes using the same dimensions.
- Inspect the background and outer margins.
- Check the mode again in the cart summary.
A practical example
A rectangular illustration with an intentional background may belong in Original image mode. Removing that background can change the composition even if the subject remains recognizable.
